One of the moments that attracted a lot of attention was the emotional and a heartfelt piece from the Shark Tank India judges. Co-founders Shivani and Harnehmat of a company that aims to encourage people to write letters, come to the show and give the sharks letters written by their family members. Reading the letters from their loved ones brought tears to their eyes. However, Vineeta Singh was the one who couldn’t resist, but collapsed while reading a letter of her teacher.
Vineeta reveals that it was the teacher who encouraged her to become entrepreneur and not opt for traditional jobs. While talking about the same, she read the letter and became emotional. She then thanked her teacher for all the love and support he had given her. Aman, on the other hand, received a letter from his daughter and he was very excited to read it.
Peyush Bansal, Ritesh Agarwal and others also received letters from their family members. Later, Vineeta asked the co-founders to explain their business. Both Shivani and Harnehmat spoke about their business and the reason they started it. They then mention that their demand is 36 lakhs for 4% stake in the company.
After hearing about the business, Aman mentions that he is not able to identify or connect with the business idea. He even mentions that he is unsure and does not want to invest in the company at the moment. Later, Peyiush says that he feels that the company is followed more by passion and less by business and that is the reason why he is not very sure about investing in it. It even gives them the idea of opening a stationery brand and writing letters can be an extension of that.
Ritesh Agarwal discussed with the co-founder and decided to invest in the company. He offered 36 lakhs for 6% stake in the company. Shivani asked Ritesh to seal the deal at 5%. However, Ritesh denied it and put a condition. He asked them what their goal was for the year. Shivani explained that they are targeting around one crore this financial year. Ritesh then said that if they managed to achieve the target this year, he would return 1% equity to them.
