Sandeep Reddy Vanga REACTS to Javed Akhtar’s criticism on ‘Animal’; says we’ll want to vomit in front of his son Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Mirzapur’ |

Sandeep Reddy Wangawho is riding the super success of his film “Animal”, recently responded to Javed Akhtar criticizing his Ranbir Kapoor star. The filmmaker suggested the lyricist to check on his son Farhan Akhtarbefore criticizing his film.
In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Sandeep said it was obvious the individual had not watched the film. The comment strongly suggests a lack of viewing of the entire film. Sandeep expressed his disappointment, stating that when someone criticizes without having seen the work, it is disheartening. He pointed out that this feeling extends beyond the individual in question, to anyone who criticizes an artistic creation without first considering their own environment.

Sandeep wondered why similar comments were not directed at Farhan Akhtar when he was producing Mirzapur. He pointed out that Mirzapur, a show containing profanity from across the world, had not received any such criticism from the individual. Sandeep pointed out the inconsistency, asking why the person wasn’t also reviewing his son’s work, especially since the show’s Telugu translation could be disturbing if watched.

Speaking at the Ajanta Ellora International Film Festival in Aurangabad, Javed Akhtar expressed concerns over the kind of films that are achieving success. Without explicitly naming any films, he mentioned scenarios in which a man asks a woman to lick his shoe or condones the slapping of a woman, deeming it dangerous when such scenes contribute to a film’s superhit status. The reference seemed to allude to a scene involving Ranbir and Triptii Dimrii’s characters in a widely discussed film, although no specific names were mentioned. It is worth noting that Vanga’s film Kabir Singh presented a scene where Shahid Kapoorthe character slaps Kiara Advanithe character.
‘Animal’ also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, alongside Ranbir and Triptii. The film has just been released on OTT after its huge success in theaters.
